Ethics Bowl

Griselda Alcala is a first-generation scholar who is in her fourth year as a Political Science and Criminology, Law & Society double major here at UCI.  She is passionate in advocating for climate change, political mobilization and restorative justice. She hopes to go to law school and become an attorney that specializes in criminal justice reform. She first joined the Ethics Bowl Team her first year of college because of her love for debate and for moral philosophy. She never imagined that in joining this team she would be able to meet such wonderful people with such insightful minds, those of which are always helping her learn. Alongside the Ethics Bowl Team, Griselda was able to compete in the 2019 CA Regional Ethics Bowl Championship which was one of the most enriching and fulfilling experiences she has had at UCI. As Chief of Marketing and Special Events, she hopes to bring Ethics Bowl to height where it can reach every single person with a passion for engaging in morally dubious contemporary issues.
